How billing works
Your own billing month
Each billing month starts on the date your subscription is activated – not on the 1st of the calendar month.
Counted per month
An employee who is active at any time in a billing month counts for that whole month.
Paid upfront
The annual plan is paid for 12 months in advance; the monthly plan at the start of each billing month.
Licensed employees
Your subscription covers a licensed number of employees. To add more, you first increase the licensed number; the additional employees are charged as explained under “How do we add more employees?” below.
Reminders
We remind you before your subscription term ends, and when your active employees reach 90% of your licensed number.

Optional services
First-time setup assistance
Help configuring the system for the first time, for a one-time fee of 25% of your annual subscription value (on the monthly plan: 12 × your monthly subscription). Example: an annual subscription of $750.00 → $187.50 once.
Training for your staff
A training plan for your HR team, managers or employees – quoted separately on request.
Pricing questions
How are employees counted?
Every employee who is active at any time during a billing month counts for that whole billing month. That includes an employee added during the month – even on its last day. There is no part-month pricing.
When does my billing month start?
On the date your subscription is activated. If it is activated on 12 March, your billing months run from 12 March to 11 April, from 12 April to 11 May, and so on.
How do we add more employees?
Each subscription is for a licensed number of employees, and you cannot have more active employees than that number. To add more, you first increase your licensed number (purchase additional employees). On the monthly plan, the additional employees are charged for the current billing month in full. On the annual plan, they are charged for the current billing month in full plus each remaining month of the term you have already paid for, at the annual-plan price.
Will you remind us before we run out?
Yes. We send a reminder when your active employees reach 90% of your licensed number, and a reminder before your subscription term ends.
Is setup included?
Updates and support are included. First-time setup assistance – help configuring the system for the first time – is optional and costs a one-time fee of 25% of your annual subscription value (on the monthly plan: 12 × your monthly subscription). A training plan for your staff is quoted separately on request.
Is there a minimum number of employees?
No. You license the number of employees you need – whether that is 3 or 3,000. There are no tiers or bundles.
Why is the monthly plan more expensive?
The monthly plan gives you the flexibility to pay month by month. It costs the annual price + 10%.
Are taxes included? How do we pay?
Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes, which are added where they apply. Payments are processed by our payment provider. See the terms of use for the full billing terms.
